If you’ve ever opened a Disney Cruise planning guide and immediately felt overwhelmed, you’re in the right place. I get it. I was there too.

I’m Heidi, a mom of two, and in November 2025, our family of four set sail on the Disney Fantasy Merrytime Cruise over Thanksgiving week. It was a 5-night cruise with my husband Nick, our daughter Emery (8) and our son Kylo (5), plus a big group of about 20 family members.

Before the trip, I spent months researching packing lists, cabin hacks, Fish Extender ideas, Pirate Night outfits, embarkation day tips… you name it. And even with all that prep, there were still things I wish someone had just told me straight up.

Why I started EasyCruiseMom

After the cruise, I realized how much I had figured out the hard way. Things like signing up for two Fish Extender groups when one would’ve been plenty. Trusting the app that said our stateroom was ready when it wasn’t (always pack what you need in your carry-on, friends). Using labeled Ziploc bags so the kids could get dressed without asking me what they should wear for each day.

I used Notion to plan everything and honestly, that system saved us. I want to help other moms build that same kind of calm-and-ready feeling before they board.

EasyCruiseMom is the site I wish existed when I started planning. It’s practical. It’s real. It’s from a mom who just went through it, not a generic travel blog that’s never actually been on a Disney Cruise with kids.
